Creative Critical Reflection

Image
For Question 1 I recorded myself going over a PowerPoint I made that answers Question 1 For Question 2 I did a podcast answering the question that can be found here . For Question 3 I was interviewed by my partner Sarah, and that can be found on our YouTube channel  here . For Question 4 I created a video that was originally supposed to be uploaded to our Grandma's Kitchen Instagram page, but we ran into numerous problems with getting it to work so I had to upload it to YouTube  here

Final Draft: Grandma's Kitchen

Image
Me and Sarah Spent a lot of time on deciding on what we were going to do for this project. We came to realize that we both have family members who can cook! We came together and decided to create a cooking magazine. Our magazine holds a very professional and pleasing look to it. I really hope you like my final draft as much as we do.

Post-Production 1- Addition of Pictures

After me and partner presented our magazines to our peers there were really no complaints. The cover page looked great as well as the rest of the magazine. Our layouts matched so they actually looked like they came from the same magazine company. The only addition that I will need to do is to add a picture of my parents next to the article that talks about them. I am going to take a picture of both of them in their work uniforms to match the professionality the rest of the magazine has.

Peer Review

Last week, me and my partner presented our magazines to our class. The feedback we got back was better than what I could've asked for. All of our peers loved our magazine and how professional it looked. We are really far ahead and need to make only tiny additions to my magazine. On one of my pages I talk about my parents and how they came up with the idea for these pancakes. The only addition I have to add according to the feedback I received is to add a picture of my parents onto my page with my feature article. Currently, there is just a picture of a pancake in the corner. I plan on adding a picture of my parents into the top corner so that the readers will be able to have a better understanding of who we are talking

1st Draft: Grandma's Kitchen

This is my first draft of my cooking magazine grandma's kitchen! I took all of the photos myself and I am super proud how these all turned out. I feel like it has a very professional look and feeling overall and will only need little improvements.

Production 3 - Formatting

After I got the layout how I wanted and the perfect pictures for my magazine I began working on the formatting of the magazine and making sure everything fit. I had to make sure that the colors in my pictures would match well with the color scheme that I chose for my magazine. I Inserted the text for my different articles as well as the pictures and moved them around for the most eye-pleasing look. This only took about a half hour to an hour to get what I think is the perfect layout. The text is clearly visible and so are the pictures. The pictures match the color scheme of the magazine which are different shades of blue and white. My pictures clearly correlate with the article that is next to it.
